spa day, NYC
So my friend is going through a rough time... I'm looking for a place that we can go in NYC to have a little spa day, and then maybe stay at a hotel. Any recommendations? Would be even better if the hotel does the spa treatments.

I took my mom to a spa day at OHM Spa..i believe its in the upper 50's. Its a nice place but their tipping policy i think is absurd. But my mom loved the services so i was happy about that.
elizabeth arden red door salon is good as well.

My sister and I once stayed at the Palace -- the spa there is nice. We both got massages.

I have been to both Dorit Baxter & Bliss & both are very nice.
Dorit baxter is a lot cheaper then Bliss and they do a great job on massages.
Bliss though has a great lounge room to relax before and after your massage. Then after there is sauna to sit in and relax.
I go to the Bliss on 49 & lex...which is in the W hotel.
