Lupron Rant (light hearted...)

I just have to say a few things about Lupron... I want to choke it!!

During our first (failed) IVF cycle, I did a 10 day Lupron suppression and it made me C-R-A-Z-Y!! I was a mad woman... so nuts that I didn't want to do another IVF cycle for a few months because I couldn't imagine going back into that world of drug induced lunacy.

I was thrilled that this cycle didn't require Lupron... it was soooo much nicer. But, wait- I wasn't in the clear, yet. I had to do a Lupron trigger release. IT DID NOT WORK!! I got halfway through my retrieval yesterday and they had to stop because there were no eggs. The Lupron didn't get to the pituitary gland so they eggs couldn't release. Stupid Lupron!!

I have some left over Lupron... I can't figure out if I want to burn it or send it down the disposal...

i hated lupron too!

i had to be on it for 3 weeks for each of my FET cycles... it was torture!

my DH would get so annoyed with my hot flashes - everytime we were in the car it was windows down.... windows up.... windows down... windows up - and i would get SO hot so quickly that my whole face would be flushed!

not to mention the MOOD SWINGS! the only way i could describe it was feeling like i wanted to jump out of my skin!

Lupron forced them to cancel a cycle on me. It didn't work and I made follicles anyway that got too big to suppress.

They skipped Lupron and let me go right from BCPs to stimming for the cycle that I went through with all the way.
