Nice rooms in Atlantic City-updated
Next weekend is my 5 year anniversary and we're pretty sure we're going to AC. My gut is to just book the Borgata (been there a few times with friends, nice rooms, nice casino, lots of restaurants/nightlife.) The Borgata is $200 for Friday night, $400 for Saturday night. I was wondering if you could suggest any other nice hotels that might be a little cheaper. I was thinking about Tropicana, but the rooms look pretty shabby from the pictures. Can anyone suggest a hotel with a casino in it, very nice rooms and restaurants/bars to choose from?
UPDATE- What we decided to do was book AC for Friday night and then go to Philly overnight on Saturday. Since it was only $20 more, we booked a room at The Water Club at Borgata for Friday night and then we got my friend's Friend and Family rate for $99 at the Sheraton City Center in Philly! So both nights are costing half of what it would have been to stay at the Borgata all weekend. I'm so excited, I can't wait until next weekend!

I have stayed at Ceasars & the Trop, and both had nice rooms!

Harrah's has really nice rooms plus that really cool indoor tropical pool area.

We have stayed at Ceasar's, Bally's and Harrah's. Harrah's is next to Borgata so that might be a good compromise so you could still walk to Borgata. The room was really nice too.

I was going to suggest Harrah's also. The indoor pool area is really great (they keep it at 80 or something like that year round, plus at night it turns into a decent club and people use the hot tubs and pools then too!). Plus it is very close to the Borgata anyway.

i have stayed at trop, ceasers, borgata and something that was $200 a saturday night on the boardwalk that was so gross that i would never go back. it was in a terrible area at the end of the boardwalk.
trop we liked after we complained - we moved from a pull out couch to a real bed.
borgata was gorgeous but it was split b/w 5 girls on a saturday night.
ceasers was great.
