Who got a doppler?

Is it worth it? Did you rent or buy? Where did you get it from?

I had gotten one and rented it.. it was amazing and definitely helped calm my fears in the beginning... totally worth it IMO.

I got one very early on from BabyBeat. I had a 3 month rental, and it was great to hear the heartbeat, but I did not use it as much as I thought I would. BUt I was still happy I had it, I got a free heartbeat recording device with my 3-month rental and it's cool to have that now.

me me me! I got one when I was 9 wks PG and still have it atg 37.5 wks

I love my doppler. It saved me from stressing out SO many times, espeically before I felt her moving on a regular basis

I rented mine from Fetal Sure and the rental price went down each month.

Renting a doppler had been the best investment I've made so far since finding out I was PG I got mine around 10.5 weeks and its been a Godsend to me (I'm such a nervous nelly that hearing the HB is just so comforting to me...)

There are quite a few companies that you can rent them from - I got mine from Heartones.com

I ordered the Doppler that has the digital heartrate display, which keeps track of the baby's BPM's --

Just one word of advice, sometimes it takes some time to find the heartbeat when you are 12wks PG or less - they are just so tiny at that stage, and often they 'hide' from it at first. I think I first picked up the HB clearly at 11.5 weeks and I now make it part of my nighly routine - I just love hearing it before I go to sleep

Thanks everyone! Two more questions - first, is it safe to use it all the time? I know I'd use it every day! Second, do you need a doctor's permission? Some sites say you do...
