can we do anything?
long story short, we found a house we absolutely love, put an offer, offer was accepted. we signed the contract, were waiting for the homeowners to sign the contract. they wanted to wait until the people they were buying a house from, signed the contract. well when they got to the lawyers to sign, the house they were going to buy, decided to take their house off the market  so now the house we were going to buy decided that if they weren't going to get that house, then they don't need to sell and took their house off the market. is there any way of getting our inspection and lawyer fee back?? this is such bullsh!t that this even happened. now we're starting from square 1 again and our house goes into closing october 31st! (the contracts are signed and everything)

Unfortunately, I think there's nothing you can do since they didn't sign the contract.
