oktoberfest themed meal?

DH loves oktoberfest so I thought it'd be fun to make an oktoberfest themed meal. I found a recipe that looks good for bread dumplings but what else can I make? I've never been to oktoberfest so I'm clueless.

Re: oktoberfest themed meal?

there are a few great recipes for Oktoberfest in the october issue of Bon Appetit.

one is for a brisket braised in porter (dark ale/lager) also german potatoes and a few other things.

barring that, you can't go wrong with some wursts (knock, brat etc) grilled up with some kraut, potatoes and mustard. maybe get some soft pretzels too.

have fun!

Schnitzel with a German potato salad. Maybe some braised cabbage.

Pretzels.

Wurst. Any kind, Curry, Brat etc.

Pig's Knuckles. They are popular in Bayern.
