I think Im ready to take the next step
Well... its officially 12 months since since we started TTC. AF showed up today. I go tomorrow for a sono to start Clomid. What should I expect??
I am also making an appt to have a consultation with an RE. Im not happy with my OBGYN, and I feel like I need someone more specialized. If I dont got pg on the first cycle of Clomid, Im going to switch.
Im going to be meeting Dr. Pena from East Coast Fertility for my consultation. Does anyone know anything about him or East Coast Fertility in general??
Im sure Ill be asking many questions, so please bare with me. I never thought I would get to this point. Im starting to worry that this is going to me a very long and difficult process.

I also do not go to east coast but I think your taking the right steps. A RE will be best to help you with the process of clomid, and any other treatments. Good luck with everything.

Re: I think Im ready to take the next step
I am in the beginning stages and go to East Coast Fertility, but I have seen Dr. Zapantis. We have another appointment in October to hopefully get a plan in motion.
If you have any questions about ECF, feel free to ask. I will try to help.
Good lUck!!!

Welcome and good luck.
I previously went to another doctor but wasn't happy. I have my first apt with ECF on Monday.

Re: I think Im ready to take the next step UPDATE
I went to my reg OB and had a baseline sono. Uterine lining and right ovary looks fine. Might have cysts on my left ovary. Have to go back monday to have another sono and meet with dr to start clomid.
what does having cysts on my left ovary mean??
BTW, this appt and how I was treated solidified the fact that I need to see and RE. After my appt on Monday, I am getting my file and switching drs.
I have a consult with East Coast Fertility on 10/12.

Re: I think Im ready to take the next step
Welcome and I hope your stay is a short one. Your RE will be able to test you for things your OB can't. You will get answers and more in depth moitoring during your cycle.
At first it can be overwhelming havingto go to the Dr's office, sometimes 5 times a month, but the end justifies the means. Good Lick.

Re: I think Im ready to take the next step
Speaking from experience, make sure your obgyn monitors you (with sonos) during your Clomid cycle. Mine didn't do that (it was a last ditch effort before seeing the RE, also) and my whole cycle was screwed up. I would have gone straight to the RE if I knew how my clomid cycle would turn out. Also, has your obgyn done an HSG?
All of that being said, welcome and good luck to you! I hope your stay is short!

Re: I think Im ready to take the next step
No HSG.. Im gonna go get my follow up sono on Monday then switch to an RE. I don't think Im gonna start clomid this month bc I dont trust my dr's office to handle it properly.
Ill let everyone know how my appt turns out.
Thanks for making me feel so welcome.
