**UPDATE**Just found out my lawyer S U C K S **LONG**
OK, so the lawyer never got an answer, then went on vacation, eh. So I get a phone call today, the bank doesn't need money in escrow, that's between me and the seller. And the CO is not an issue (for the bank) My lawyer does EVERYTHING so slow, but I am told that I will set myself WAY back if I switch!
So as it stands now I am still waiting on closing date.
I am beyond Pizzed right now!
Long story short, my original lawyer was a family friend, but his wife was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and he retired early to be with her during all of her treatments. He gave all of our info to his partner and said we were in good hands.....well 2 weeks ago DH called and asked for him to talk to the bank lawyer and the sellers lawyer about putting money into escrow (CofO deck issue)
we need to move in sooner rather than later since DD is already going to the new school. I spoke with the bank yesterday and they said they are 100% ready to go, just waiting on the lawyer. I call the lawyer today and he says we are waiting on the bank. I said "No, I just spoke with them and they are waiting on you!"
He then precedes to tell me about how we are waiting on a survey issue and the CO issue. (The survey issue is new, but his job to take care of) He starts going on and on about how we need to figure out how much we want in escrow and whether or not the bank will be OK with it. This is ALL stuff DH asked you to do 2 weeks ago, why haven't you done any of it!!!!!!!!!! My blood is boiling and I get hot every time I think about it!
I am calling my original lawyer tomorrow to explain the situation to him, if it's not fixed by the end of the week I am switching lawyers! If you read this far thanks, I needed to get it out!
Does anyone know how far back I will set myself if I switch lawyers at this point?

uhhhhh that stinks!!!  If you need a lawyer rec. let me know, I have a great guy, he works with DH, very good guy!!
