Please help
I Know this is the wrong area...but alot of people read these...so I was hoping you can help.
I just started to miscarry two days ago..We had a cruise booked for this sunday April 23rd..paid close to 2000k for the cruise. We didnt expect this so, we didnt take out insurance. The cruise is leaving out of NYC at 4pm 7 nights 8 days. Stops at port canaveral, miami, nassua and great stirrup cay bahamas. Theres 2 tickets for a balcony room. I am looking for the best reasonable offer...if anyone has one please email me at [email protected] We would love to go on this cruise...but we are just not emotionally ready for it. Thank YOu all so much

Just wanted to say Im so very sorry.
Are they able to transfer the tickets to another persons name? I cant go but I was just wondering this..so i can pass the word on to some friends..

so sorry that you are going thru this.
I had some trouble with one of my cruises and they were very accomodating. Did you try calling them to see if maybe you can pick another date?
My neighbor had a death in the family right before her cruise, they awarded her with a voucher for what she paid to go towards another ship. I think it was princess cruises.

I am so so sorry about the MC!
I really think you should call the Cruise line and explain the situation to them. Speak to the manager, speack to the manager's manager etc etc. I can't imagine them not helping you out in this situation!

I'm very sorry to read about your loss
I'm not sure in this day and age tickets are transferrable, you may want to follow the advice of the other ladies and call and work something out with the cruise ship for a future trip. I hope everything works out

I talked to three different people. I ordered it through expedia. They said I can trasfer the names for a 35$ fee pp. But thats if I can find someone to take the cruise. Yea..we are extremely dissapointed. We knew there was something wrong when my sonogram showed i only looked five weeks when i was 7. I had what you would call a blighted ovum. We want to try again really soon, as soon as im healthy enough. I heard the chances are slim that I will have another one...but Im still very concerned that i will have another miscarriage. Has anyone experienced this? and tried soon thereafter and succeeded? Thank You all so much

I'm sorry to hear this. There are a number of girls on the board who have had successful pregnancies soon after miscarrying, so don't give up hope.
As for the cruise, don't they make allowences for medical emergenices? Also, if you booked using a credit card, check with your cc company about trip insurance. Sometimes its a hidden bonus that you don't even know you have.

Thats a really really good idea! We will check out CC for insurance! I called them and they basically didnt want to hear it! They told me there is NOTHING I can do about it now. I am going to call my cc company right now! Thank You

I am soo sorry for your loss
I conceived my little girl right after a m/c. I m/c'd on 7/20, and o'd and conceived around 8/10-8/13.
I was told the same thing as you from my dr, I also had a blighted ovum, I m/c'd naturally at 5.5 weeks.
It was so scared of having another m/c, but i left my faith to a higher power. I took faith that the statistics were in my favor and just took it day by day.

I am so sorry for your loss- I miscarried at 8 weeks of a blighted ovum as well and plan on start trying again next month. I know how hard this is and my heart goes out to you.
I know this sounds strange but are you sure you don't want to go on the cruise- It might help to get away.

Maybe getting away and not having to "deal" with everything all at once; will help. There is nothing wrong with using this time to spend with yourself and Dh.

Speak to your dr about when you could start trying again. Usually your doctor will ask you to wait three months to "clear" your system. Then, you are clear to go. I think the time between increases your chances of having a very healthy pg next time.

If you started bleeding two days ago, you won't be bleeding that much by the cruise, if at all. Ask sweetness how long the bleeding lasted with a natural MS, mine was a D&C and the bleeding was very slight.
