Gluten Free Noodles???
I offered to make Noodle Pudding for the jewish holidays to bring to my neighbor's house. She mentioned that her dad can only have gluten free stuff. Is there such a thing as a gluten free noodle???

Re: Gluten Free Noodles???
Is the noodle pudding going to taste right if I use rice noodles instead of broad egg noodles? I have never made noodle pudding before and dont wanna mess it up especially since I am bringing it somewhere

Re: Gluten Free Noodles???
I don't know for sure, but I do know rice noodles taste a little different. They tend to be more mushy I think.
You don't really have much choice though if they have to be gluten free. I would probably make something else, or make one regular, and one gluten free.

I only use rice and corn pasta and noodles. They sell these in Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, etc.
They do taste slightly different than regular noodles but honestly I don't notice anymore and neither does DH (who eats regular pasta in restuarants but does rice and corn pasta at home because I have to eat it).

Re: Gluten Free Noodles???
I have make macaroni salad using the gluten free brown rice noodles that I bought in ShopRite and other than being a little more gummy feeling there isn't a big difference with the taste. I am sure you could use them and no one would even know the difference!!

Re: Gluten Free Noodles???
my DH's sister and her entire family are Gluten intolerant (as is my step sister), so my MIL cooks EVERYTHING Gluten free. I've had more gluten free noodle kugel than I care to admit!!! Tastes just the same for the most part.
