I think they're still "in" for this season. If someone got them for me as a gift, and they were my style, I'd happily accept them. I think that's a great gift!

I don't think so. I bought Uggs last year and never wore them. Thankfully Nordstrom has an awesome return policy and I was able to get my $ back. I think I'm going to go for a pair of Frye boots. They're more my style, warm and sturdy.

I personally hate them and will never buy them. I hope they go out of style but sadly I have started seeing them already this year and it’s barely September. Just not my style at all.

not my thing. I think buying them for a gift is a risk. If they can return them that's good but it's a PIA to do that.

i am not a huge fan of the "regular" uggs (i like them but don't love them) but i LOVE my grey cardys and i can't wait to wear them again.
i would consider getting a pair of the classic uggs to fit my huge, sore preggo feet. but i am more of a ballet slippers kind of gal

same here
I don't really like wearing boots unless it's snowing like a blizzard, in which case I wouldn't wear Uggs for that.

After all those years saying I would not get UGGS style boots. How ugly they were and everything....I gave in this Summer. I found a pair of EMU (one of the other brands) for $39 on sale because it was left over from last Winter and I am glad I did. I ask for DH's opinion. He thought they were cute on me.

I think they are still in. I personally dont love them and find the original ones to be thin soled and not supportive enough (I walk hard on my feet). But I was in Lord & Taylor this weekend and saw that they have really broadened their styles. They have so many more to chose from that are cute.
My MIL & SIL love them. If the person you are buying them for likes them I think they would make a great gift.
