Yes we had the 3D sono done in the beginning of March..I was about 32 weeks pregnant.
I posted a few pics back then but I'm too lazy to find the post so...hope it's OK if I post them here
We got to see her sucking her thumb, kicking, punching with her fists (LOL), opening and closing her mouth, yawning, playing with her umbillical cord...so much. It was amazing. Image Attachment(s):

I got my first pregnancy magazine this week and they mentioned that. I never knew that this existed. They mentioned the details that you said for a couple that had it done. It must have been an amazing experience for both of you. Did you have to pay extra for this or do most insurance cover for it? Thanks for sharing your pics...that's like totally awesome......

Insurance didn't cover the 3D at all 
But some doctor's offices have the 3D sono machines in their office (there are a few girls on her whos dr has this). Mine doesn't, so I went to a place on my own.
A couple of the LIF girls went there as well, that's how I got the recommendation. The place is called Envision Ultrasound and I think the website is www.envisionultrasound.com
It was worth it to me. We did the $200 package but there are other packages available. We got a 30 minute video of the sonogram, 10 printed pictures and 55 pics of CD rom.
We saw her so clearly...even all the hair on her head! I loved it! I loved that we could share the video with our families too
