Running out of steam so soon?
I just hit the halfway point in my pregnancy and I already feel like my body is starting to give out on me. My back has been hurting a lot more lately and I tire so easily. I work 12 hrs shifts and I can barely make it through 8hr before I start dragging my feet and my plan was to work to the end! I can't imagine what I'll be like in the next 20 wks. I feel like such a wimp. Anyone else as pathetic as I am?

No, I think I started to drag around then, too, but I regained my energy. You go through a growth spurt around 16-20 weeks, so you may be feeling the adverse effects of that. Hang in there. Try to rest as much as possible I'm just about 31 weeks now, and I am beginning to get tired again, but nowhere near as bad as my first trimester. I just need to remind myself to slow down and relax when I need it.

I'm 20 weeks also and feel the same way. My back aches at night and my ankles are starting to swell by the end of the day. I feel like I've become such a whiner!

Re: Running out of steam so soon?
Like Rachel said the baby is going through a growth spurt but soon you should feel a "second wind" and become re-energized!
