Salty sweat
Ok so I determined I am a salty sweater. I dont sweat that bad but my skin seems to be covered in a thick later of salt when done running! Eww.
I heard this is bad and can cause dehydration so I am going to try salt packets under my tongue during my next run...anyone have luck with this?
PS - I heart salt and put it on everything. The articles I have read said it is ok to salt things bc of the fact that I am a salty sweater.

Re: Salty sweat
this weather will definitely produce even more salty sweat! I had a friend in HS, who is African-American and after hot cross-sountry runs would have white lines going down the face from where the sweat dripped!
I recently read (maybe in RW) that someone, right before the start of a marathon licks his thumb/backhand and sprinkles a fastfood salt packet on it and periodically licks it throughout the race...I'm going to try to find the article after this.
but I also just read, for every one salt tablet you take...you need to drink 8 oz of water - in addition to the ~quart per hour!
this article addresses a lot of the above - although he is saying no more than a pint and a half of water an hour - I thought I read in Hal Higdon's book 1 qt an hour.
