i didn't realize they ever came back 
i haven't seen anyone around wearing them, if that is what you are asking. or are they more of a fall thing?

They were in b/c those long sweater dresses were in. I think if the sweater dress is still in then leggings are in. I haven't seen many out, but I haven't been out shopping too much lately since DS was born
ETA... Oh, leg warmers! Duh! LOL... I thought I read leggings.
Um... like you said... no clue they ever came back
