cats anatomy....... "down there"
Ok this is going to sound weird, and no I am not some sort of animal perv but.......... I can't help but notice that my female and male cat both look the same "down there" ..... I can't help but wonder how the vets get it right, because they really do look identical! (they are both fixed, btw) ........
So, just out of curiosity, what is the difference down there? I started having these vivid thoughts of what if my little boy is really a girl?! Meaning I would have TWO girls and that's why they both look identical! I know that's not really the case
So, visually what is the difference in appearance on a fixed male and female cat?

I dont know, but now I want to go home and flip my girl & boy cat upside down and see what you are talking about.
Only difference I notice : My boy cat pisses on things, my girl does not

Re: cats anatomy....... "down there"
I have one of each and I definitely see a difference. My boy has a tiny little weener and even though he has been fixed i can still see what looks like "balls" I am assuming they remove the testicles and leave the "sac" so that is what i'm seeing.
Now on the girl I can't see anything. I don't see a vay jay jay or anything... but I can see the 'parts' on him that aren't on her!

Re: cats anatomy....... "down there"
You have to lift up their tails to see the difference. On a male cat you will see a hole (the anus) and then the testicles underneath. On a female cat there are two holes (the anus and the vagina).

The reason I see the difference so clearly is because my male cat loves to lie around on his back with his legs spread wide open- showing off his bits and parts and airing them out!

I don't know ladies.... Thanks for the info, but I still do think they look the SAME down there! They both have 2 holes, one underneath another..... and the boy has nothing that resembles a sac
Anyway, thanks for the info!! I guess my my male cat is just weird Or..... really female

Re: cats anatomy....... "down there"
I remember from sexing kittens that male openings are further apart from each other. There is a longer distance between the two holes on male cats.
Males are circular whereas females are not.
Certain colours are usually female (calico and tortoiseshell) and male (orange cats 75%).
HTH!
