The Heprin Shots are killing me!!
So my whole lower abdomen has purple/blue/green welts/bruises all over!!
When they said the bruising was going to be worse than the Lovernox I didn't expect it to be WAAYY worse.
Not to mention one of the injection sites is purple/red and hurts like HELL!
Does anyone have any tips on how to decrease the bruising??

I use the same technique that I use with Lovenox. I ice for a few minutes, then pinch the skin hard. Inject slowly, then count to ten, remove the needle and ice again. Also try to space the injections so you don't inject into an already bruised area. Oh and be very careful not to rub the injection site. Sorry you are having such a hard time with it
