tipping workers
Hi all,
I need advice please. We have a contractor and his guys here putting in support columns in the basement. They've put in two days, 12 hrs the first day and it looks like it'll be 10-12 today. The owner has been here the whole time doing a lot of the work. My question is do we tip them and if so, how much. I wasn't sure if you tip contractors/construction guys when they tend to be so expensive anyway. What would you all do, or what have you done in the past?
Thanks!

Re: tipping workers
i think it is up to you. Dh worked construction a few summers doing dormers etc... and he was sometimes tipped. i think they would tip some of the helpers but not the head guys.

Re: tipping workers
It's up to you. It's like anything else- if you feel they went above and beyond, then tip them.
DH is a contractor and gets tips sometimes. His favorite though, is when the homeowners buy him lunch! That might be a good way to show your appreciation.
