Jewelry and Travel

Do you wear your jewelry when you travel? I am trying to figure out if I should wear my wedding set or wear the fake set I bought for the purposes of traveling.

Re: Jewelry and Travel

I wear all my jewelery (same earrings, same necklace, and my e-ring & wedding band)... I never take anything off so I never worry about losing it.

Re: Jewelry and Travel

i have been debating this recently. i wore my real e-ring and band for our HM last year, but i'm going to Italy next week and i'm debating about bringing the real ones. I might bring my e-ring, but my fake wedding band (i can't find a fake e-ring that matches my real one!)

all of the rest of my jewelry i bring is my real stuff! not too much of though

Re: Jewelry and Travel

I took my real stuff everywhere. Never had a problem. I locked it in the room safe. If I didn't feel that was safe, I asked the front desk to lock it in their safe.

Don't wear your rings in the water.

Re: Jewelry and Travel

I'm not a big jewlery person.. but I do NOT travel with my e-ring, just my wedding band.

Yes, it's insured... but if something happened to it, the last thing I want to do on vacation is hang out with the police (especially foreign police) writing reports and figuring out what happened to it. Not worth the hassle on vacation.

Re: Jewelry and Travel

My wedding band never comes off, so that always comes with me. Usually I will bring some inexpensive jewelry, so I wont be too upset if it gets lost.

My engagement ring..well, I usually leave that in the safe deposit box when I travel, unless its for a wedding or something like that.
