Inspection Tips
We are getting two showings of the house - Monday alone with the realtor and then again Tues for inspection.....
Anything specific I should look for or check out?
Any tips?
Wish us luck

Re: Inspection Tips
We bought a 60 y/o house, so might be a bit different, but we were on the look out for cracks in the walls, evidence of water (stains, mildew, bubbling, etc), wood rot, bugs, and bad electrical problems, including plugs that weren't updated to GFCI.
We were right on the electrical-- they did a hack job and put in a new panel without upgrading the service to the house. Thanks to our inspector and his report and then our realtor, the seller is fixing all of it before closing.
Walk through with your inspector, don't just wait for him/her to tell you what's wrong. Be proactive and ask questions along the way. You're going to need to know where to shut off the water to the house, or how to kill electricity to a certain area, etc, and they can tell you that.
GL! I'm sure it will be fine.
