Anyone Paint on the side ? (in Queens?)
My MIL is looking to have her coop re-painted.
1 bedroom (one is newly painted) so she's looking to have 1 bedroom stairs area living/dining room
(not kitchen, bathroom, or 2nd bedroom).
She usually has her painters buy her paint also. Benjamin Moore, 2 coats. usually a beige. She's very simple.
She's looking for price quotes. Someone that does a great job, and can do it soon, within a decent price range. SHe's no cheapo by any means, but someone just quoted her $3200 I thought $200-$400 per room was the going rate, depending on the size of the room.
Anyone know anyone, or anyone paint very well and want a side job in Bayside?

I think 3200 is a bit much but I thought painters charged closer to 1000.

$3200 is way too much!! We had someone do our house (he is no longer painting, health reasons) and it was $1200 which included our entire first floor (living room dining room, foyer, kitchen, bathroom) and our upstairs bath and the hallway and stairway. Plus we have 12 foot ceilings on the entire first floor and there was a lot of repair work. And his work is amazing. I think we got a great deal but $3200 seems way too much to me.

Anna, I might have a guy for you. He also lives in Bayside. He is a friend of my BIL and was doing it on the side last I heard. He painted our house when we first moved in so I'll have to check if he's still doing it. $3200 - wow what a rip off! I agree with closer to... um...$2000 LESS than that quote sounds more reasonable
ETA: Especially for beige!!! Not that they necessarily charge less based on the color but beige is alot easier than darker colors.
