bath tub refinishing?

our tub is starting to look a little dingy so i was searching online and came across bath tub refinishing. wonder if anyone has done this? if so did you do it yourself or had someone do it? approx. cost?

my friend had her tub and tiles done in the bath area a few years ago and said she regretted it. It was supposed to take 3 days to dry and hers took over a week and even then there were spots that got messed up because it wasn't dry enough.

Maybe it was the guys that did her tub (she is in NJ) maybe someone on LI has a company that they used that was better. She also had hers done in August and it was humid but the guys told her that didnt matter.

Definitely do allot of research.
