central air...
We don't own a home yet but hopefully we'll be headed in that direction soon enough... trying to figure out roughly how much it costs to install central air? I know it's hard to determine without knowing the actual size of the house etc but trying to get a rough idea in our heads between buying a home without it and installing ourselves vs. buying a home with central included... is it a big headache to have installed?
TIA!

Re: central air...
I think the quotes will vary depending on what type of house you have, what size unit, if there is ductwork installed already, etc.
We have a ranch with easy access to attic to install the ductwork and one company quoted us $10K at the beginning of Summer. That was more than we wanted to pay and we haven't even turned on our wall units that much anyway so we are holding out to get another quote in the Fall/Winter. It's less expensive to install it then.
