Re: French Toast
Get a good loaf of firmer bread.. Challah, whole grain, hearty white, etc.. DO NOT use balloon bread (Wonder, etc).
Crack open a few eggs.. let's say 2. Add a little evaporated milk.. maybe a quarter cup? Sprinkle in some cinnamon, a little dash of vanilla, a spoonful of sugar and whisk it up till it's frothy.
Warm a skillet with a little Pam or nonstick cooking spray. Dip your bread in - don't soak it through.. just get it nice and coated. Add to skillet and heat on each side for maybe a minute? You can lift it up to make sure it is golden before you flip it and cook the other side. Plate it, add a pat of butter, some powdered sugar, some sliced strawberries and a little syrup if you would like. Done.
OR.. do a search for the baked French Toast recipe on here.. which is super easy.
Good luck!

Re: French Toast
no, it's in the baking aisle. But I use regulae milk and add a dash oh seltzer. Also, the bread should be a *little* stale. You can then keep the pieces in the oven on a low setting to keep all the pices warm.

Re: French Toast
Easy french toast? Cant get any easier than this....scramble eggs (2 are good). Dunk bread...any kind of bread...I've used wonder, french bread, bagels, english muffins...into the egg. When coated on both sides put into a frying pan coated with oil. When brown flip it until brown on that side...done. Serve with maple syrup (DH's way) or sugar and cinnimon (my way). Easy (of course this is my easy way...you can add all different things to the egg mixture too....then you can experiment with stuffing the french toast....or...you can try the baked french toast recipe on here/...depends on how creative you want to be!
