Closing date question
According to our contract we are scheduled to close on our coop on July 22nd - so our lawyer (who we hate and would NEVER recommend) said legally we have till August 22nd. The house that we are in contract in wants to try to push back their closing date as much as possible. Due to some lawyer issues, we don't have a dated contract, so proving the date of fully executed contract is going to be tough. But anyway, is there anyway that we can push back the closing of our co-op past Aug 22nd if our buyer has everything ready? Is there anyway we can offer her a fee for doing this? Ideally we'd need another month in the co-op so that we could go directly from co-op to house.
