At last, I'm in love with my hair again!!
I posted a few weeks ago that I hated my hair and I needed to divorce my hairdresser.
I consulted with my old one in Queens who advised my to DO NOTHING for a few weeks and if I wanted to do the Brazilian, that that was the way to go if I wanted to tame the curls/frizz.
I conditioned and conditioned my hair for weeks and I almost backed out of the Brazilian because my hair got so healthy, but decided to go for it.
OMG....I feel normal!!! The first time it took me no more than 20 minutes to blow my hair with little to no effort. In my 40 years and almost 21 of those wearing my hair straight most of the time, I can't say that it has ever taken me less than 1 hour to do my hair. Even then, most times I had frizz.
This time, not even an ouce of product!!!
I lurked on this board for a while and decided on New Mode in Old Bethpage and I loved it there. She (I can't remember her name, but she's been mentioned on here before) took me on a Saturday at 5 and I was out of there a little after 7!!
I have to download the before, right after and after wash pictures, but I have to show you what a difference this had made in my life. I'm no longer a slave to my hair!!! Woo hoo!!!!
PS: I had the Brazilian done last year and I can say that she had to have done somethng wrong. It smelled, and I still had frizz after I washed it. This time made me a believer!!!

That is great. I got mine done too but I feel as if it did not take as good as it could. Maybe next time I will try New Mode! Do you know how much they charge???

How much did New Mode charge?
They said if I paid cash, $200 and I think on a cc it was going to be $250, so I paid cash.
Seriously, I HIGHLY recommend them for the BKT.
