well my daughter is 19 months and she loves kissing this winnie the pooh bear. she pretty much walks with it.

my kids both have their blankies that comfort them when they are upset and they ALWAYS sleep with... started pretty early... maybe 6 months

No real attachments here either, and he's almost 2. HE has certain things he loves and that are in his crib, but they are take it or leave it at any time.

I would say at about 8 months. Maddie definitely has it in her to be dragging a doll, pillow, etc around.
I didn't want her to get attached to one thing because I've seen kids drag around germ-ridden stuffed animals and blankets well past the age of 3. Their moms are always trying to get rid of them. Anytime she seemed to be getting attached & needed to bring something out of the house, it would disappear for a few weeks. I know it sounds mean, but she always finds a substitute. This way I don't have to search frantically for the one missing stuffed animal.
