eww eww eww eww what to do...update
ok so yesterday i tell my neighbor that i saw a rat run across my lawn to my other neighbors house then she tells me she has them seice oct. today when i got home from meeting with a lawyer i go to let my dogs out and theres another one on top of my patio table my dogs chased it away and i have no idea where it went.... what do i do? do i say something or wait till the house is finished.... i mean i know she might not mind but i realy do not need a rat problem onto of everything else  do i don't i wait till after the house have ron handle it! you vote and tell me
well i went over to her house and askd her do you have any more of those rat traps? she said no not right now...why did you get one... well you know because they are doing this building around here(4 new houses) maybe there nest got diturbed. yeah maybe i said... she ask where did i see it and i told her and showed her too. admits to them being in her house crawl space and then says well i keep everything clean i have no idea where they are comming from(um yeah i got stuff in my back yard) but no holes and never saw them till yesterday!!

Where do you think they are coming from? Your neighbor's house? Maybe an exterminator? I'm not sure if the town would do anything since it is private property but I could be wrong!

she has she told me yesterday that they have been there since oct. i have never delt with actual rats before except for pet ones... field mice where i grew up when i was little we had them( my house there was on a old farm)

ohhhh I thought it was two differnt neighbors. So the neighbor WITH the rats told you she has them???
uh oh...what to do??
Ummmm....I would call the county then. OR...I would ask her if she called the county yet and if she says no, tell her, well we need to call them cause Im going to have work done on my house and I am afraid they will migrate to my house.

This is the last thing you need I can't believe that this woman has had rats since October and hasn't done anything about them Doesn't she realize they can carry disease and breed like crazy? How could she have not dealt with this? No money?, ummmm... I think I'd give up eating to pay for an exterminator.
She needs to be told that the rat situation needs to be dealt with NOW, TODAY!!! Not tomorrow. Then follow up with the town, Board of Health or whoever you can report this too.

This is a health hazzard. I would call the town maybe announimously. You do not need them to breed and spread germs.
You poor girl, I am so sorry u have to deal with this now.
