Holy Cow! I need encouragement.

I am 40 lbs overweight and the only exercise I have been getting is playing with (and chasing) my 22 month toddler and taking her for walks in the stroller.

Recently I started taking her for rides on my bike. I know I'm terribly out of shape and decided to make a change. I am trying to make my health as important as I make DD's.

Today I did Jillian Michaels 30 day shred work out level 1. Holy Cow!! (for lack of finding a better expletive that won't be censored). I could barely make it through and wasn't even able to do everything. Chat Icon PLEASE tell me it will get better. Chat Icon

I'm determined to do this workout everyday, continue our walks (and amping it up a bit) and going for bike rides. I'm already well on my way to eating healthier and have lost some weight slowly but I need to change my lifestyle and make exercise a regular pat of my day too. I'm doing this now for 2 reasons. First I feel that if I make it a part of my life while I'm a SAHM it will make it easier to continue when I go back to work someday and secondly because I want to teach my DD healthy habits.

Re: Holy Cow! I need encouragement.

Thats great that you have begun to lose weight and eat healthier.

I was the same I have a 24mth dd and needed to get off the weight I gained. I started slow and watching my diet and a little cardio here and there. 4 months later I exercise alot do a few toning classes still watch what i eat most of the time and I lost about 30 pounds. I still have a ways to go but I look and most important feel better.

So keep it up! It does get easier. I find it hard to find time to exercise with a baby. thats why I'm up at 530 am!.

Good Luck!!

That is awesome!! I think if I attempted to get on a bike, I'd probably fall on my face...never mind with my DD!
I'm a SAHM too and I enjoy exercise as my "me time."
Keep up the good work!!
