how long did it take when you submitted your offer on a house?
to hear back?
I'd like to know specifically for short sales or foreclosures? Since I believe the offer was submitted to a bank

From what I heard you hear back fairly quickly...within a few days...or a week..with a foreclosure...
For a short sale...not sure but think it could be quite some time

We made an offer on a foreclosure on a Friday and heard back from the bank the following Tuesday.

what kind of info do you submit on a foreclosure? what about short sales? is it the same as with private sales?
Such as:
credit reports / ratings
% down
closing date
places of employment
etc...
just curious if you provide this at time of offer or after?

the bank we submitted to needed:
pre-approval
proof of down payment in our bank account
credit reports
I think that was it
