Clean your lipstick? w/ poll
I'm just curious........
How many of you ladies wipe off the top of your lipstick after you have been sick? (lipstick you had worn the day you got sick, or days leading up to it...)
I usually do this with my lipstick but I recently splurged on a Chanel lipstick (It's amazing, btw!) Anyway when I recover from being sick, I am not sure if I want to do this with the Chanel lipstick since it's so $$ and I don't want to waste any or risk it breaking from rubbing it on a napkin. I realize this is a strange dilemma... but I am wondering how many people out there bother to clean off their lipsticks after being sick, or if I am the only one! Is it necessary?
I should add that I get sick every month (not kidding) and I hate hate hate germs! Hence, why I'm neurotic about it

Depends on how sick. Normally, I put it on wth a lipbrush anyway, but yeah, I will run it over a tissue. Nothing hard. Never broke one b/c it's a light swipe.

I've seen people behind makeup counters clean lipstick with a napkin soaked in alcohol or an alcohol wipe to disinfect it.

Re: Clean your lipstick? w/ poll
I never even thought of cleaning off lipstick or gloss after I'm sick. so needless to say, I don't do this
and I guess since I have gotten this far in life w/o doing it, I don't think this is something I will start doing.

I only use gloss these days. Or a stain with a gloss on top. If I have had a cold sore or something, I will throw out and buy a new chapstick.

Re: Clean your lipstick? w/ poll
I only wear gloss but if i even wear that once a month then that's a lot. I hardly ever wear anything on my lips so if i am sick it's doubtful that i will wear it.

I don't think you can reinfect yourself with the same cold/flu etc...if that was the case you'd never get better because you'd keep reinfecting yourself with germs from your own house.

Exactly, after you have been exposed to a certain virus, your body develops antibodies against it, so that you are no longer susceptible to it. That's why, for example, you only get chickenpox once.
