HElP having such a hard time on WW

I joined for 3 montsh online I have no time to go to the meetings. I know I eat WAY to many carbs on it and i feel that i am SOO BLOATED. I did a modified low carb for a while but cheated so often recently it wasnt worth it so i joined ww. I am a picky eater but I need suggestions for breakfst and lunch. dinner is easy meat and veggies on the bbq.
I have been having the WW muffins for breakfast for 3 points and a lot of 100 calorie pack by hostess( the 3 small twinkies) as snacks. I am home for the summer so I can make stuff but nothign to crazy bc I have two little ones to take care of as well.
TIA

I am not on WW but for breakfast you should have some protein and fruit (yogurt, eggs, egg white) and fruit is VERY cleansing...if you know what I mean...lol

lunch - I have been having a salad with chicken (even BBQ an extra peice for yourself the night before so you have it)

if you have carbs at lunch- don't have them for dinner

I think you would feel better if you ate REAL food- not processed food- processed food can make your very bloated

I know I do....I try to not eat anything that I have to take out of plastic

read the book naturally thin I just posted about- she takes about this detail and it's really working for me

Beth is right.. you need some protein in the morning.. and fruit is a MUST! It's low in points and filling!

I am on WW.. and my breafasts usually consist of egg whites or every now and then a whole egg (2 points) with maybe turkey bacon or a toasted light english muffin with ww cream cheese (2 points.) Sometimes I'll have cottage cheese and fruit (breakstone makes an awesome one for 3 points... it's the only cottage cheese I like.)

When I'm running really late, like this morning, I'll have a light english muffin, a tablespoon of reduced fat PB and a sliced up banana (4 points depending on the size of the banana i use). On the weekends I'll have 2 multigrain waffles, light syrup, rasberries, turkey sausage or bacon and maybe a fruit kebab.

Lunch is usually the most annoying for me.. I work in the city and get super sick of EVERYTHING quick! I switch up between grilled chicken on a lettuce bun, chinese (steamed shrimp, brocolli and brown rice), Subway (turkey on whole wheat), or when I'm really desperate I'll get a Smart One at the deli and just eat that.

I try to have a protein with every meal.

I always keep fruit at my desk to snack on so I'm not starving and grabbing anything and everything through-out the day... 1 point popcorn is a great snack too.. and pretty filling.

if you're going to have a 100 calorie snack... don't have more than 1 a day...

Also, I tried WW online and it didn't work for me.. I wasn't holding myself accountable for anything... Going to get weighed in once a week totally makes me stick harder to the program. I'm boarderline obsessed at this point. I don't always stay for meetings. When I have time I try to, but just going and hoping on the scale literally takes 10 minutes...

Good luck!

9wks for me and so far I do love it.

For me, I dont purchase those 100 calorie snacks and try to think healthier snacks.
Truth is, there is no nutritional value out of them.

Breakfast is big for me, so I stick w/oatmeal or eggwhites-Yummy!
Even an WW english muffin with a lite butter(3pts), .

Whole grains are good, easier to digest opposed to whites so you can have your carbs but better ones.

also lots of veggies!

HTH
and we are all here to help out each other!

ETA: Snacks- free ones like cucumbers, pickles,
Yogurt, WW sting cheese are 1 pt and pump up the calcium!

Re: HElP having such a hard time on WW

I'm doing WW online too. As you can see from my post today, I'm having trouble too, but here are some things that work for me.

As far as muffins go, I like Vitamuffins in the frozen section. 1 point per muffin.

Egg whites with veggies and 1 slice american cheese.

Egg Beaters Southwest Style (I think) has peppers and onions mixed in. 1/2 cup for only a point on light bread for 2 points total. Add one slice WW cheese for 3 points total.

Love the WW string cheese and WW yogurt for 1 point each.

Baby carrots, cucumbers, grape tomatoes for 0 points.

Blueberries, rasperries, strawberries are all very low in points and great snacks or addition to breakfast.

Lean Cuisines

Boar's Head Light Hot Dogs with Light bun and sauerkraut - 3 points

Turkey on low fat/low carb wrap or light bread

I do have 100 calorie packs of cookies, or chips, but not more than once a day.

I also like Pop chips. 2 points a small bag.

WW microwave popcorn - 1 point a bag.

Good luck!!

I think it would make a world of difference to find 30 minutes out of the 10,080 minutes in a week to attend a meeting. You will learn so many tips and tricks to help you stay on track. And I have tried the low carb route and like you it just doesn't work. I need variety and I need bread & potatoes! LOL! But you need to have them in moderation. Have you taken a look at the simply filling technique? You are pretty much on the lower carb side then have your flex points to have any extra treats you want.

I find that if I dont have carbs after 3 or 4pm I lose the weight faster but when I am eating them before bed the scale doesnt budge

Re: HElP having such a hard time on WW

I just finished my 7th week and so far so good. I am trying to get more adventurous as I have been eating a lot of the same stuff. For breakfast, I also am big on the WW muffins but i will have it with fruit like a cup of blueberries or strawberries; oatmeal with fruit, ww whole wheat toast with 1tbsp of low fat peanut butter. Lunch, turkey on ww, salad with grilled chicken, leftover ww pasta. Snacks, popcorn, love fiber one bars, fruit, fresh salsa with baked scoops. I wanted to add that I first joined WW after the birth of my 1st child and it was great. My 3rd was born in January and I thought I could do it on my own. I started out strong for a few weeks but then slowly fell off the plan and cheated here and there. It was not working for me. I really needed to be held accountable, so I rejoined. I don't always stay for the meeting 9 I try) as its hard to find the time working FT with 3 kids but I at least make the time to go and get weighed every week. So if you can't give up an hour maybe try for 15 minutes to stop in and get weighed. May help you stay focused and motivated, it definitely helps me. Good luck.

Re: HElP having such a hard time on WW

I am on maintenance at WW and have been for over a year and been able to keep the weight off. I suggest staying far away from the WW pre-packaged food and those 100 calorie packs. Instead try to have veggies around to snack on. Also make your breakfast bigger meal. It will keep you satisfied longer. I take a few hours early in the week and cook a bunch of chicken so its handy and then have that for lunch. You can also use that time to cut up veggies so they are handy. I found it to be a lot easier if I planned the week ahead.....less likely to cheat.

Good Luck!!!!
