If these pounds don't start coming OFF!!

I've been doing WW online since January and I've lost about 15 pounds. My goal is 40 total. I don't exercise, because I just don't have time with a full time job and a toddler. I count points strictly during the week, but I do have trouble staying on point on the weekends when we have BBQ's or parties, etc. I'm getting so frustrated!! I try to make smart choices if I'm at a party or restaurant, etc. so I feel like I should still be losing more than I am. I feel like if I see more results, I'll be better motivated to stay on track. Right now, I'm starting to feel like why bother? Chat Icon

I guess I just need some encouragement.

Its the weekends that are killing you....I am the same I was really strict during the week and gave myself 1 meal on Saturday nights to "splurge" but lately I have been taking the entire weekends off of dieting and I am paying for it I didnt lose any weight for weeks so I got strict again and lost 6lbs

the calories really add up when you are not paying close attention

edited to say.....Chat Icon I feel your pain

Are you adding calcium into your strict wk?

I know when i do, weight comes off.
WW leaders always tell us this too.

It sounds like you are catching up all week from being off program all weekend. Try to do the program every single day. Even on the weekends. Losing weight and keeping it off is all about habit transformation. The pounds aren't going to go anywhere if you do not change your habits.

If you want a different result than your currently experiencing, change your course of action. Sorry to say, but exercise is key. We don't FIND time for the things we want, we MAKE it. And you are worth making that time for yourself.

My advice is to assess your habits. Where can you practice better habits that you can also live with. What is one small change you can make that will bring you closer to that goal?

First of all... I want to tell you that I just looked at your newest after pics in your album!!!!!! OMG!!!! You look AMAZING!!!! I think I'm going to hang YOUR picture up on my refrigerator!!! You are such an inspiration!!! The last picture of you I saw was the Halloween Bumblee pic in which also look fabulous!!! Great job!!!! You should be SO proud of yourself!!

Anyway... thank you so much for replying. I have to stay on the program every single day. I know this, and yet I have little willpower and I easily feel deprived. I have to change my mindset. I'm not depriving myself of the food I like, I'm depriving myself of looking good and a healthy body if I eat all that good food! It's just so hard...

If I walk outside, briskly, for 30 - 45 minutes, 3 times a week, is that enough to help me along?

I know this may sound nuts to some, but I go to the gym at 5 a.m. Is that an option for you? Your child should still be sleeping and that way you are done working out for the day. Then, you can concentrate on work and your family.

Actually, you would be suprised at how many people are at the gym at 5 in the morning.

Hmmm... I suppose it is doable, but again, walking outside at 5 a.m. is more doable than going to the gym. DH leaves for work at 5:45 a.m., so I have to be back by then. Another option would be to go late at night after my son is asleep, but I also have two step sons who are over two weeknights a week just from about 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. so it requires coordinating schedules with DH, which is totally doable, just comes back to changing my mindset and MAKING time to exercise...

The other thing I love as much as food is sleep!

Re: If these pounds don't start coming OFF!!

Scott and I get weighted in on Sundays. At first I told him we should switch days because I have to be so careful on Saturday. But it actually keeps me on track. I feel like I worked so hard all week and I don't want to screw it up when I get on the scale Sunday morning.

We do give ourselves Sunday not to count points. We don't go crazy, but if there was something I was craving all week, I'll eat it that day.
