Question about bleaching something in the washer
I want to bleach some shoes that are pale pink so they come out white. How much bleach do I add and when in the cycle do I add it? Thanks

Re: Question about bleaching something in the washer
If you are trying to make pink shoes white.......there is a possibility that they may not get evenly white.
I would add the bleach at the very start of the wash cycle.......and I would do about a capful of bleach from a detergent bottle's worth.

Re: Question about bleaching something in the washer
For something like that, I would soak them in a bucket with water & bleach for a while. I would use the amount recommened on the bottle based on the volume of water.

Re: Question about bleaching something in the washer
I agree with the soakign.
In the 80s when people would bleach denim, if you put it in the wash, you would get bleached spots--it you wanted an even fading, you had to soak it in the bathtub in bleach & water. Don't do straight bleach, it may destroy the material.
