this is really what I meant.... sorry

which did you decid and how did you decide? Both takes insurance, one is a single doctor that you can call at anytime if you have a problem. the other is a group of docors that you don't know who you will get each time. Many questions about both what are you guys doing???

I go to a group (3 in the group). I have seen all 3 of them and feel comfortable with all 3 of them.

this is a personal choice. i used to go to a practice of doctors for my kids and i did not like it. the office area was so crowded all the time and the wait was too long for me. so i swiched to a single practice, and me and my two lil ones love him. thats just my choice though. there are pros and cons to both. good luck choosing.Chat Icon

Its a tough decision. I go to a group and I feel like they never know who Hayley is. But on the other hand if you go to a single Dr they might be crowded (I never wait more than 10 minutes in the waiting room at the group I go to) and if there is an emergency it might be hard to reach him where as a group there is always someone on call.

Its a personsal choice.

It's DEF a personal choice. My dr's office is never crowded and I also happen to go to the VERY same group that I went to as a kid, so that makes a world of a difference. They KNOW me, you know?

Based on my own experience, I agree with this comment about the negatives of a group practice, especially one that is popular. While I like the doctors I go to now and alot of people in my area use them and they get good marks in general from the Moms, they just seem too busy lately and its just tiring it sit and wait, especially with 2 young kids. Even with 1 child, which is usually how I try to go there, sometimes I've waited long enough to feel like my kids are getting sick from the waiting room. Realistically, unless they comes out and disinfect the toys and furniture constantly, it's terrible to wait in a room full of other kids, even if they are not all sick. Although many kids are sick when its the winter and despite the division of "sick" and "well" waiting areas, as kids get older, its not so simple to say that you wont let them touch the toys there or that you will keep them in the well area only (if they are coming for a wellcare visit) Of course I have antibacterial wipes and the whole 9 yards to try to keep them as germ free as possible, its just not as simple when they get more mobile. Prior to this I used a smaller practice (1 main experienced doctor and a newer doctor) and I prefer that. I switched b/c we moved and they were too far away but I am considering looking for another smaller practice closer to where we live now. More doctors doesnt always mean that things move faster, it means they can take on more patients so its busier.

My son goes to a group of pediatricians, but I always see my favorite doctor. The only time he doesn't see him is if he's not available when we go in for an unscheduled visit. I'm only comfortable with a couple of the doctors so that's why I always schedule his appts with my favorite. In a way it's better because you get to meet a few different one's and you can see which one you like and always see them. If you end up not liking your pediatrician if it's just the one you're kind of stuck with them unless you switch. Also, I think with a bunch of doctors, you get in and out faster. I never wait more than 10 minutes.
