we finally narrowed it down to where we are going but we cant figure out which resort- either the grand oasis or the iberostar?

I loved DR
but I am no help- we stayed at dreams la romama- it was all inclusive and amazing
we got a great deal at cheapcarbbiean.com

Not sure about those 2 places, but I am leaving for the DR on Sunday and we are staying at Excellence in Punta Cana.

I stayed at the Iberostar Bavaro - the BEST of the 3 resorts on that property by far! It was AWESOME!!! Staff was great, food delicious...drinks were STRONG!

I didn't stay at either of those, but my BIG TIP is to bring a TON of sunscreen...higher SPF and more than you think you'll need...you'll use it!!! I could barely even stay in the sun, it was so hot and strong in early July. Beautiful there. you will love it!! have fun!!

When I was there it rained every night but not for long and we welcomed it. It cooled off just a little bit. One day on a tour it rained but didn't affect us. It moved on very quick.

What is their vacation club? Sounds interesting.
Its sort of like a time-share, but instead they use a point system and you are free to travel at anytime....Because we usually do a carribean vacation every year, for us it works out great
