When I met my DH he had a dresser in his living room with the TV on top and the DVD player in the open top drawer. I believe that is a good a reason as any to take all of the decorating decisions upon myself.

I will sometimes consult him, but he trusts my judgement! I've pretty much done the majority of the decorating.

My DH doesn't care about picking anything for the house, whether it's decor, appliances, plates, pictures for the walls, siding for the house, light fixtures, wall colors, couches, etc. - nothing. It's good though, I have free reign. I do ask him for opinions once in awhile but mostly I pick everything myself.

We have to consult eachother, we have an interior designer who will show us options, and then me and DH will decide or sometimes we will let her decide if we can't

Never does one of us pick something without consulting the other.
DH is very involved, but open minded, our designer opens us up to things we never thought we would be in to.
