So disappointed

i went for my cd3 blood and sono and AGAIN i have a large follie there. This is so discouraging! I am on hold once again!!! Dr B said this probably means there is an egg quality issue. His plan is to put me on gonal f (?) or lupron if the gonal f is not covered by my insurance then stim with injectibles. I am so upset, its one more issue to add to the list. It took everything I had not to break down in his office. I was really hoping my ovaries would cooperate this month. More waiting for me.....

And to boot, I came home upset and told DH and he gets all angry. Starts saying "great more meds, what has this dr done for you, nothing! he just keeps adding more medication to the list" First off I have only been seeing Dr B since April, 2nd there is no way he could have forseen this issue.....its coming up now so we have to deal with it. It makes it much harder on me to have to DH being like that. i told him he might as well be mad at me since it my body thats doing this. My body is falling us not Dr B. Its just not fair, now its like I just keep being put on hold, we dont even get a chance to try!

oh Christine, i am so sorry you are going through all this.

If Dr. B will allow you to stim with Follistim i have 2 boxes . maybe write him a email?

you know i am here always.. vent away, and i hope it all gets fixed with the injectibles.

Anyway, sounds like Dr. B wants to supress you before stimming, but I never knew Gonal-F could be used for that? But it makes sense to me if your ovaries are over zealous, KWIM?
Again, I'm sorry you're still in limbo, but just keep your eye on the prize. Some things are worth the wait!

You are NOT failing and this is NOT your fault!! I know that some days are just worse than others, but don't give in to the hopelessness :)

This whole process can be stressful for both partners... my DH is a wonderfully sensitive man, but he too worries about the cost of things. When we discuss it further, he admits that he'd pay anything to have a child... I think it's a guy thing; they are numbers oriented and don't understand the importance of process, of learning things along the way. My whole IF journey has been filled with surprises; most surprising is how little all of these experts actually know about getting and staying pregnant. It really is a crap shoot, and all we can do is learn and adjust along the way. The best we can do is trust our journey to the right dr.

I'm that things settle down at home and that your body gets backs to "normal" soon!

Thank you so much for all the hugs ladies and the pep talk. I really need it and it is already making me feel a little better. I just e-mailed Sandra to ask her about the drugs.

Your DH is probably as fustrated as you are but just shows it in a different way.

I might have an extra RX for the gonal f pen that I won't use, I can let you know in a week or so

She said its Ganirelix (half dose) will be used for suppression and follistim and menapur for stimulation.

Ganirelix sounded like gonal - f to me....
