so far I know I want the counter-depth GE Profile French Door refrigerator with freezer on the bottom, in stainless steel. That's all I know.
What appliances do you have and what do you love and hate about them?

30 inch free standing gas range

range hood exhaust fan?
(how do you tell power? Are any quieter than others?)

Dishwasher?
(budget won't allow the Miele Chat Icon )

we got a kitchenaid dishwasher about 4 or 5 months ago that we're really happy with so far. its quiet, seems to do a good job... and its has a really cool 3rd rack for big utensils like spatulas, plastic mixing spoons, that kind of stuff. i like that because they're always too tall for the silverware basket, and they always ended up taking up room on the top rack of our old dishwasher where the glasses should go. it also has the controls on the top of the door, so you don't see them when its closed- just makes it look all smooth and sleek.

our stove/oven is electric, but its a whirlpool gold. i like it... but one of the burners is a "super burner" so that you can boil water quickly for pasta... it works great for that, but you have to be careful when you're cooking anything else on there because it cooks faster than you think.

I believe Bosch is in the same price range as the Miele. Thanks for the heads up on the Electrolux DW.

Do you have any idea about the Electrolux range? I see one has a double oven. Sounds interesting, as long as they aren't both small. Need to make a turkey and sides during the holidays.

Ml110 What model Kitchen Aid did you get? I think that may be what I need. Last night I read some good reviews about it. Good to hear you are happy with yours.

Thanks for your responses.
