need help -frozen sauce & eggplant parmesan related
This may sound ridiculous but how do I unfreeze frozen sauce? I have it in a little ziploc container in my freezer. Can I throw it in the microwave? How long? There's also meatballs in it, does that matter? AND I want to make eggplant parmesan with it. How do I prepare eggplant for eggplant parmesan? TIA

I wouldn't put the bag in the microwave.. it will likely melt.
I'd put the closed bag in some warm water until it loosens up - and then put it into a pot to reheat on the stove.. or pour it into a microwave safe bowl and nuke it. I dn't like microwaving most things.. and the fact that it has meatballs would probably make me do it on the stove. Since you are going to be using it on the eggplant I would probably not heat it too - just loosen it to the right consistancy and maybe warm it a touch - since it will be heated through when you put the parm together in the oven. For eggplant, I usually slice it and place it in a tray. I salt it a little and then cover it with milk and let it sit in the fridge until I am ready to cook it. It tastes less bitter to me when I prepare it this way.

I wasn't very clear, it's not a ziploc bag, it's a ziploc tupperware type container. I know it'll stain but can that go in the microwave?

yeah it can go in the microwave. I normally thaw my sauce by using the defrost function.....
How will you make eggplant parm? are you removing the meatballs from the sauce?
For eggplant parm, I normally just cut eggplant slices, dust in a bit of flour, and fry. I don't like breaded eggplant.
then layer with cheeses, and sauce
