Do they know ahead of time they will be on, or is it like the price is right, they call names at random? it seems like a lot of families in the crowd, so I wasn't sure.

I was wondering the same thing myself. I'd imagine that they know ahead of time, only because it seems like a lot to drag your whole family out there, because you MIGHT be on the show. Plus, most people don't seem surprised when their name gets called. They just seem excited.
