Anyone want to place a bet?
I have been on the phone with Cablevision for over 20 minutes now and I have waited at home for the cable guy since 2PM.
You can place two bets:
So what is the over/under on the guy coming before 6PM?
What is the over/under for me waiting on hold for more than 30 minutes?

When I had cable and called them I was invariably on the phone for an hour before getting to someone who could fix the problem.
Oh, and I am not sure if they do this where you live, but if the cable guy cannot get to you by 5 pm, they will reschdule. I had that happen once when I lived in DC. It was a huge pain.

This happened the last time to me. So, I just called, screamed at a customer service supervisor, and raised a big stink. Don't mess with a hormonal pregnant woman!

lol, thanks, it actually really bothers me when I think I saved up an hour of rewind/fast forward but the powersave ate it instead
He said he did not know why that is happening to you . He wants you to call Cablevision!

20 min hah thats nothing....
at 6pm when all of our management team is gone we like to play a game called "how long before they hang up" and watch the calls holding go into 40 min hold times 
Saturday when it was just me and one other person we had someone holding for 60 min.
All kidding aside, a lot of calls are not quick fix calls. I work in travel and my average call with a customer is 30 min. It's a lot of looking up info, and then when they are ready to book it's a lot of behind the scenes work that has to be done. Ticketing, QC, talking to the vendor, etc...
I hate being on hold for long periods of time too but working in CS and watching queue's I have a better tolerance for being on hold.
