Bake it , as you normally would , say with some lemon & garlic, herbs etc... when its done cool it off , take the skin off. Chop up the chciken add mao & celery , The falors from what you cooked it with will make the chcijen taste yummy,,

The raw chicken will turn white once its done cooking in boiling water. If you are unsure about the middle........then take a slice out and cut it down the middle. If its white......its cooked.

I will tell you...........it will smell kinda gross..........but unseasoned boiled chicken usually does......Chat Icon

I also don't season the chicken before I boil it for chicken salad......after its cooked I will add the mayo, some S&P, celery, etc.

Do I have to boil the water first and THEN add the chicken? or should I put the chicken in the pot and bring it to a boil??

Re: If I wanted to make chicken salad...

I dont think it matters......but I think I boiled the water first then added the chicken.

If the cutlets are thick, make sure to cut thru the fattest/thickest part of the cutlet to make sure it isnt pink inside. Once it's white throughout, then they are done. Shouldn't take too long to cook thru.

You can add and do whatever you want to them at that point.
