I need help

I have an wedding to go to this Friday- its in Syracuse and its for a couple we our close friends with.

Here's the catch- the wedding party is on Saturday and I have a dress to wear to that.

But on Friday we have also been invited to the traditional Indian ceremony. everyone else invited except for one other couple is Indian, as in from India. I have NO IDEA what to wear. We told out friend to ask him Mom, and she said my other friend and I could wear some of their extra Indian dresses. But I am like the palest whitest person in the world and think I might look slighty ridiculous in an Indian sari. And his mom and sister are a good 6 inches shorter than me, so that would likely not work anyway.

Help- does anyone have any input? Should I wear like a cocktail dress like I will wear on Friday? Or like a nice skirt and top? Or a sundress? I'm so confused!
