Our top pick of house is enormous, which is awesome, of course but it means that the w/d is LITERALLY the exact opposite end of the house, 2 floors away from the master br. They built a walk-in closet in the master in addition to the original closets and to be honest, I'd rather have the w/d in the walk-in and slightly less closet storage. The walk-in shares a wall with the master bathroom so plumbing is at least close by.
Anyone done this? Just trying to get an idea of how extensive the work would be and an extremely rough estimate on the cost (like $500 or $5000 to do).

we had a kitchen on the second floor when we bought it. We just moved the sink and fridge out and hooked up the plumbing to the washer. I still have the cabinets so that is great for storage.
I had a handy man move them and hook them up. I don't remember what it cost but we already had the plumbing there. If you put it near a bathroom you should be able to run the plumbing close by.
