If you make burgers at home,
what else do you make?
We have lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, cheese and avacado for the burgers.
If I remember, I try to make home fries.
What else do you guys make? Looking for ideas.

Re: If you make burgers at home,
We have the traditional toppings for the burgers and then it depends on how hungry we are
Sometimes it's a baked potato, sweet potato fries, grilled veggies or fruits(on kebabs), salads
On the weekend we have more options, but during the week it's simple

Re: If you make burgers at home,
Depends on the day.. I do burgers a lot because I'm short on time often.
Sometimes it's fast food - lettuce, tomato, american cheese, pickles onion and special sauce or ketchup on a sesame seeded bun with French fries, Raw Sugar Snap peas and Chocolate Malted Milkshakes.
Sometimes it's Swiss and Sauteed Mushrooms & onions on a hard roll with herbed butter, tossed greens and potato salad served with shirley temples.
Sometimes it's Bleu cheese, watercress, green goddess dressing with corn salad and tomato slices with Lemonade.
And sometimes it's steakhouse burgers (seasoned with Montreal seasoning) with A1 and sauteed mushrooms, mac and cheese and a tomato & mozzarella salad served with iced tea.

adopt me please
I usually make homemade potato chips/fries (baked in the oven)
or salad.
if we are grilling eating outside, I'll do potato salad, mac salad, corn, or pasta salad.
sometimes I'll make an onion and mushroom relish to go on top of the burgers.
but generally burkers is a KISS night for me, so nothing too crazy.

Re: If you make burgers at home,
We make Whoppers with Cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, onions and ketchup. The kids get a kick out of it because we let them build their own. I also make french fries in the oven with either cheddar or mozzarella cheese on top and then I make brown gravy for the fries. yummy!!!!

Re: If you make burgers at home,
My next recipe for burger is that I bread them wth egg and bread crumbs and then I fry them in oil, I then remove them and make brown gravy and then add the burgers to the gravy and let them saute a few minutes. I call them country steak. I then make twice baked potatoes topped with cheddar cheese and then put sour cream on top. I am getting hungry.

Re: If you make burgers at home,
I make my own mince with a mix of chuck and strip steak (60/40 respectively). I also throw in a clove of garlic and salt and pepper when mincing.
On our burgers we put a saute of onions and mushrooms, lettuce, avocado and beetroot (beets, it's an Australian thing, try it, so yummy! Some burger places put a fried egg on it, it's called 'the lot'. I've yet to try it.).
We don't normally do a side dish, but if we do it will be a veggie of some sort.
