5ks in Aug or Sept?
anyone running any 5k's in august or sept? i want to sign up but don't know which one to sign up for. i went to lirunning.com to search for races... is that the best site? thanks!!

shelter island has a 5K in Sept. I've only done the 10K which is in June, but it's a nice, flat, scenic course - you just have to drive out there
I think Smithtown's running of the bull is also in September - it's a 5K as well - and very flat.
there is a 5K at bethpage park on 7/27 - if that's not too early. (all through July there is a 5K at a different state park)
