Help....with Menopur
So I am starting my Menopur tomorrow and I just got out the instructions. What needle to I use for these? Kraupner's just threw a whole bunch of needles into a bag but I don't know which go with what. I have the regular little orange needles (that I used for Lupron) but I also have a 3 ml 22G 1 1/2 syringe/needle, a 27 G 1/2, a 22 G 1 1/2 and a 25 G 1 1/2. I guess I mix it in the big syringe but can I use a smaller needle to inject? The needle on the 3 ml looks scary. And.....shouldn't my RE have gone over this with me? They showed me how to do the Lupron but after that, I've been on my own. I think it is a little overwhelming for someone who has never done IVF before to be left alone on this. (ok, rant over...must be the hormones)

Does the Menopur have the Q-cap? Otherwise use the long needle for mixing and the short one for injecting.

Yes, it has the Q-Cap. DO I use that instead of the long needle for mixing and then put on the short needle?

Yep, un-screw the syringe from the long needle, use the Q-cap for mixing (only need one) then screw on the small needle for injecting. Also, I was told to keep adding the saling/menopur to the next vial, not to add saline each time. Good luck and HTH!! :)
