RE Suggestions

I have been seeing RSoNY in Mineola since October and I'm looking for a new RE for a second opinion.

I like everyone there, but my Dr doesn't seem very hands on since it's a big office.

They have been doing tests on me every month, to no avail. I took the last 2 months off from tests and if I don't get pregnant by July I'd like to see someone else.

The last time I went for a consult in March it was only the second time I saw the Dr at the office. She wanted me to go on Metformin, but she didn't explain why or anything at all. So I didn't take it.

Does anyone have an RE that is more hands on and won't just give me Rxs without explaining WHY they want me to take it?

I don't know if I'm asking for too much, I've only been to the one RE, so I don't know if they all operate like that. Tell me if I'm being unrealistic.

TIA

i have noticed you also need to question what you are taking or what the test results mean. i notice that dr's kinda tell you quickly and if you dont ask the y's they may not tell you the reasoning behind.

i was put on metaform a few weeks ago due to pcos/amnoreia and i got my period 2 weeks after starting it. so it may have been given you to assist in ovulation/period.

You are not being unrealistic. It really depends where you live/work since there are offices all over LI and the City, but I second this recommendation - I am currently 8 weeks pregnant with twins thanks to Dr. Flisser. If you have any questions FM me.
