Resturant RAVE
I went to Grillfire in Merrick (used to be Nick DiAngelo)
2 times this week
I am in love
I think I will be going there at least once a week from now on
The prices are much better then when it was Nick DiAngelo - dinner for 2 last night- with 2 rounds of drinks, 1 dessert and tip - was less then $100
I had the steak and crab cake with sweet potato wedges - so good!
my BF had the pork chop- which was also very good
and a waffle with fruit and ice cream for dessert
if we didn't have a party tonight- I swear I would want to go back
I am so annoying with resturants- I never know where I want to go- and now I feel like I found a place that I love and isn't crazy expensive

Re: Resturant RAVE
A friend told me about this place, have to try it out still.
I reccomended the place to my parents because they go out once a week with another couple and they needed someplace new. They all loved it. One of them had the meatloaf wellington and said it was really good. They will definetely go back.

there is a Nick DiAngelo in Long Beach still
but honestly- I liked this place better
the food was more fun and "trendy" - it was a fun atmosphere too- they had a band last night in the bar

Re: Resturant RAVE
I've been to Grillfire in Rockville Center.. it's yummy!! My uncle lives in Merrick and I take Sunrise Highway to get there (passing the Merrick location).. everytime I pass this place it smells so good I get the sickest cravings to go back...
I hate hate hate Nick Diangelo's in LB... but I'm a total restaurant snob. I know a lot of people like it..
Grillfire and the original George Martin are the best restaurants in the George Martin Restaurant Group... Coastal Grill is a close 3rd.. In my opinion of course..

Yep... on Park like everything else in that town
Great atmosphere.. AWESOME bread.. it's in a skillet, so it's warm and stuffed with cheese that's melted... reason enough to go..lol
Martini's aren't to bad either

Oh, well I'll tell you my recent FAVORITE.. Novita in Garden City.. have you been? It's the old Victory on Franklin Ave...
First of all.. they have the BEST martini called an Annanus.. it's pineapple.. seriously DELISH!!
I usually order Tagliatelle Bianco (shrimp and scallops in white wine, garlic and oil).. the Skirt Steak is phenominal.. so is the Chilean Sea Bass.. and the Penne & Chicken Caprese. I'm so hungry now!
The dessert menu needs a little sprucing up...

Re: Resturant RAVE
I was there a few weeks ago and the skirt steak was great - so was the salad. There aren't so many good places to eat in Merrick, this is def. a nice addition.

Re: Resturant RAVE
My mother in law took Danielle and I there a few months ago for dinner. We all had salads to start and they were so good. I had the skirt steak and it was cooked perfectly. We also got dessert. We loved the food there.....but we havent gone back since.....
They also honered a gift certificate that my mother in law had to Nick Deangelos. Scott

Re: Resturant RAVE
Let me say we went there and now this is our favorite restaurant, the food was fantastic, we had 2 appetizers: sweet potato fries and the coconut crab cake munchkins, then we had the steak and cake and the bbq mango sauce shrimp, and it was SURREAL! thank you so much for the recommendation!
